How do I load media on my Zebra Thermal Printer? (LP/TLP)

Use direct thermal media without ribbon, or thermal transfer media with ribbon. This is the LP/TLP path — not ZP450 or QL.

Place the roll

1. Open the printer (pull the release levers toward the front).
2. Remove the outer dirty wrap of media.
3. Open the media hangers, orient the roll so the print surface faces up over the platen, then close the hangers onto the core.

Adjust the guides

1. Open the media guides with the adjuster knob.
2. Thread media through the guides.
3. Close the guides so they touch but do not pinch the media edges.
4. Close and latch the top cover.
