Printer not printing
Device will not turn on
- Confirm the rear power switch is on.
- Confirm the power cable is seated at the printer and wall outlet. ZP-450 uses an IEC C5 (“mickey-mouse”) cord — the PSU is inside the printer, not a 20 V Eltron brick.
- If still dark, replace the power cable.
Printing is light or faded
- Adjust darkness / heat in the driver Printing Preferences → Device Options → Head Settings → Darkness Wizard.
- Clean the print head with an approved cleaning pen.
Will not print and indicator light is red
- Close the top cover firmly until it clicks.
- Confirm labels are loaded.
- Calibrate in the driver Tools tab if media is loaded and the cover is closed — or use the ZP450 calibrate article.
Paper will not feed
- Confirm media is seated on the hangers and the cover is latched.
- If the feed button does nothing, the button or feed roller/motor may need service. Call (312) 416-1518.
